Fortnite is bringing NFL skins back for the Super Bowl

Could the timing be any more perfect?

Fans of the NFL and fans of Fortnite can rejoice: As of Thursday, Team Rumble can be a clash between users in football skins.

The San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs are facing off in Super Bowl LIV on Sunday in Miami Gardens, Florida, and now players of Fortnite can rock shades of red and gold in a Team Rumble.

The Team Rumble mode features two teams of 20 players. Each team is hoping to be the first to reach 100 eliminations and claim the Victory Royale. But it isn't just Team Rumble anymore -- from now until after the Super Bowl, it is known as NFL Rumble.

If you're not a fan of either team playing this weekend, fear not: NFL skins are back, and players can select colors from all 32 NFL teams in the Fortnite Item Shop.

The NFL isn't done partnering with Fortnite. The Twitch Rivals: Streamer Bowl featuring Fortnite is at 6 p.m. ET on Friday, pairing 16 Fortnite professionals with NFL players to compete for a $500,000 charity prize pool.
