The Fortnite Halloween event is usually packed with new skins and costumes to collect, and 2019 is going to be no different.

While Epic Games remains quiet regarding their plans for Halloween this year, it looks like there is plenty to look forward for Fortnitemares 2019.

Data Miners have been sharing leaked skins this week that are directly attached to the returning event.

And more news is expected to arrive before the launch of all the spooky celebrations in October 2019.

WHEN IS FORTNITEMARES 2019?

For now, Epic Games have not revealed a full release date for the Fortnitemares event.

But new reports from data miners suggest that 2019's Fortnite Halloween event will start next week.

This includes the leaked date suggesting Fortnitemares will start on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.

It should be noted that this is just an estimate for now and doesn't mean that Epic Games won't announce different plans in the future.

But it also goes without saying that Halloween must kick off next week, before the end of October. Not all the new and returning Halloween skins will be released during Fortnitemares.

Many new designs were shared earlier this week following the latest updates made to the game.

One of the more popular returning designs is the Ghoul Trooper, which will boast new variants in 2019.

But as many gamers will remember, the Ghoul Trooper is usually released into the Fortnite item Shop, rather than an event prize.

So there is a good chance that the Ghoul Trooper skin could be launched before, or near the end of Fortnitemares.

The new style for the Fortnite Ghoul Trooper was later revealed in a post by HYPEX, with another new leak showing all the upcoming skins and wraps.

Upcoming leaked new skins include a spooky dino cosmetic, a new raptor skin and an ominous gas mask-wearing skin.

Speaking about what this cosmetic looks like underneath the mask, FortTory posted: "Is that... slend...SLENDERMAN?!"

Fortnitemares is expected to be launched as part of a new update for the game next week. Recently, Epic Games have been less informative when it comes to what their latest patches contain.

Hopefully, this elusiveness will end with the launch of the big Fortnitemares update next week.

Last year's event included invading Cube Monsters and other changes, some of which didn't prove particularly popular.

So there's a chance we could see something new, especially when you consider we have just started Fortnite Chapter 2.

Fans will be hoping for the return of free challenges, which made it possible to unlock new cosmetic rewards.

"During Fortnitemares (2018), you'll face off against Cube Monsters in a whole new way of playing Battle Royale," last year's announcement reads.

"There are new weapons to fight back against these creepy creatures, like the Six Shooter and Fiend Hunter Crossbow.

"Take out the Cube Fiends and Fragments to pick up loot, and survive against enemy players.

"Fortnitemares has its own set of free challenges. Complete each challenge set to unlock a new in-game cosmetic."
