Fortnite Halloween 2019 – costume, skins, background and what we know so far

FORTNITE fans are looking forward to the next big Halloween event – but it's shrouded in mystery.

We reveal everything we know so far about Fortnite Halloween 2019 shenanigans.

Fortnite hasn't actually confirmed a Halloween event for 2019, but there was a huge one in 2018.

So that means it's likely we'll get a similar experience this year.

In 2018 it was called Fortnitemares, and included new challenges and cosmetic unlocks.

Epic Games also added new AI enemies to Battle Royale, which were spawned by the then-mysterious 'Kevin the Cube' floating in the middle of the map.

Epic Games added a number of cosmetic items for Halloween 2018.

For a start, there was the Deadfire skin, which changed during the game as you racked up damage.

It was the first time any such skin had been featured in the game.

During Halloween 2017, Epic Games added the Skull Trooper skin, which was re-released in 2018 too.

Epic Games hasn't confirmed any new goodies for 2018, but we'll update this article when we know more.

Fortnite Halloween event – when does it start?

It's impossible to answer this question accurately because no Fortnite Halloween event has been announced.

However, we do know that Fortnitemares kicked off on October 24 and lasted for a few weeks.

It's possible a 2019 Fortnite event could begin on a similar date.

October 23 is the second-to-last Wednesday of the month this year, which would match up with 2018's event.

The event was added as part of a major update patch, so look out for patch notes in the run up to Halloween this year.
